Privacy Policy
How Tymestamp collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Tymestamp, we may process:
- Account information: Name, email address, and credentials processed through Firebase Authentication (including passwords handled by Google’s auth infrastructure), or authentication data when you sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple.
- App content: Timestamps, labels, comments, and related content you create. This is stored and synced using Google Cloud Firestore.
- Subscription status: Purchase and entitlement information processed by RevenueCat and the platform stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) to unlock features.
- Device tokens (push): If you opt in to notifications, a push token so we can deliver messages to your device.
- Diagnostics and usage: Technical and aggregated usage information (for example crash reports or product analytics via Firebase or similar SDKs) to maintain reliability and improve the app. We configure these services to avoid using your data for cross-app advertising tracking.
2. How We Collect It
We collect information when you register or sign in, when you create or sync content in the app, when you make a purchase through the stores, when you enable optional features such as push notifications, and when our hosting or analytics components transmit operational data necessary to run the service.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, operate, and secure the service, including cross-device sync and backup.
- To authenticate you and maintain your account.
- To validate and manage subscriptions and one-time purchases.
- To send push notifications when you have opted in.
- To troubleshoot, analyze usage in aggregate or pseudonymous form, and improve performance and features.
- To respond to your requests and comply with applicable law.
We do not use the personal data described in this policy to track you across third-party apps and websites for advertising purposes. If we ever relied on tracking as defined under Apple’s frameworks, we would obtain permission through the App Tracking Transparency APIs where required.
4. Legal Bases (EEA, UK, and Similar Regions)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on contract (to provide the service you request), legitimate interests (security, analytics, and product improvement, balanced against your rights), and, where required, consent (for example optional notifications). You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, without affecting prior processing.
5. Third-Party Services and Safeguards
We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including:
- Firebase (Google): authentication, Firestore database, and related infrastructure
- RevenueCat: subscription and purchase validation
- Apple App Store and Google Play: app distribution and in-app purchases
We require that any third party with whom we share user data for app functionality—including analytics and SDK providers—handles that data in a manner that provides the same or equal protection for user data as described in this policy and as required by the App Store Review Guidelines. Their own policies also apply; we encourage you to read them.
6. Retention
We keep account and app content for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account via the app, we delete associated personal data from our live systems promptly, subject to limited residual backup retention by our providers (typically a short technical window) and longer retention where the law requires. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained where it no longer identifies you.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Account deletion: You can delete your account and associated data from Settings > Delete Account.
Export: Before deleting, you may export your data using Settings > Data & Privacy > Export.
Notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time in the app or in your device settings.
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at the email below to exercise those rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the nature of the data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable cloud providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Tymestamp is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.
